Schedule

• Part Time, Year-Round position

• 2-4 shifts per week - Approximately 16-30 hours (±) per week

• Daytime and evening hours required

• Weekend and weekday hours required

• An opening only at our Northeast Minneapolis location - 2318 NE Lowry Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55418

Responsibilities

• Help customers, answer questions, and recommend plants and products

• Work both inside and outside in many different weather situations

• Pack and bag plants and products

• Set up and run cash register

• Clean, restock and price products

• Spot water plants

• Provide plant care and maintenance

• Assist with unloading plant deliveries and stocking

Required Attributes and Skills

• Excellent plant knowledge, including three areas of plant or garden expertise

• Basic skill set for organic gardening

• Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds

• Ability to work long hours seasonally

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to work both independently and with a team

• Ability to handle pressures of a very fast paced environment

• Garden center or other relevant experience

• Available to work one weekend shift per week

• Houseplant knowledge highly prized

Bonus Skills

• Familiarity with Mac and Mac-based programs

• Familiarity with Google suite

• Familiarity with Lightspeed point of sale system

Rate

• Starting pay is $17.25/hour
