You've known us for years as a green or neighborhood gardening destination, and now we are branching out into some additional services. Throughout the year, and particularly in January and February, we offer informational seminars on subjects you've suggested or that we thought might interest you. Summer Composting, Ornamental Edibles and Urban Vegetable Gardening are a few examples. Click on Seminars on the home page for a complete seasonal list.

Garden Consultation:  It’s always good to have a plan. Whether it’s a one to two hour garden coaching consultation right in your yard, a basic sketch and idea page, or a complete to-scale design and planting plan, our garden consultants offer every level of insight. Garden consultations are $65 an hour, with a minimum one hour fee.
What to expect?
On-site coaching sessions generally run $65 to $130.
A sketch and idea page or list of plants tends to run $130 to $300.
The full design plan with images, planting plan and scaled drawing can be $300 and up.
All price ranges are based on our hourly rate of $65 per hour and assume typical lot sizes for our area. All plans that include drawings and plant lists come with a 10% off card to Mother Earth Gardens to use during one planting season. You will also receive information on healthy soil and organic amendments. Your designer can guide you through the choices and give you an estimate for your specific situation. We can also recommend landscapers to install larger projects.
Putting it down on paper can give you a whole new perspective.

Mother Earth Gardens NE is open as of Saturday, April 20!! -
The new store is on the corner of Stinson Blvd and NE Lowry Ave. We will also be partnering with the Eastside Food Co-op on Central Ave to manage the yearly plant sale there. Visit us in the parking lot greenhouse at Eastside Food Co-op, 2551 Central Avenue NE, from April 27-May 27.

Deliveries: Give your plants a bike ride! Bike deliveries available from our Longfellow location, up to 10 miles away. $15 to $50, depending on distance. Some things are too large or far for a bike, so we are happy to arrange to put it a larger vehicle and drive it out to you. Price based on distance with a $15 minimum.
