Just a few days away from Mother's Day... We are all racing around the store trying to get everything in it's place.

If you are looking for ANY of the following for a Mom: Amazingly gorgeous hanging baskets, beautiful pottery, stunning roses bushes, handmade cards, great gardening hats and gloves, necklaces made by local artists, delicate vases, an easy composter or an information filled garden planning book, we happen to have it! We also have a store brimming with any kind of annual, perennial, tree or shrub you can imagine. If none of the above works, we've got gift cards, always appreciated!

On another note, here's a quick little horn blowing that we'd like to indulge in: WE WON CITY PAGES BEST GARDEN CENTER 2008!  (for the complete text, it's funny). Hooray!

Lastly, a few quick announcements: the bugs are in, so if you are looking for beneficial nematodes, ask at the register. They are kept in stasis in the fridge. We are also carrying a fairly complete line of Biobags (biobagusa.com), to include dog waste, composter, lawn and leaf, and tall kitchen bags. We've carried the biodegradable Biofilm for a while and it's been a good product. Our rain barrels are selling so quickly we are having a hard time keeping up with demand, but we are committed to getting recycled barrels to those who want them, so we will keep a list and call as they come in.
