Hello loyal newsletter subscribers.
So sorry for the strange (no
graphics in some cases) and inconsistent (we are redesigning our
website) newsletters. We hope to be up and running with the real deal
within the coming months.
In the meantime, we've wrapped up Halloween
and we are on to the transition to Christmas.
We will be featuring the same sustainably grown trees we've always
carried, from Henry Anderson, Osseo, WI. This year we are going to carry a
limited selection of live trees. They will be small (4 ft and under) and we
will have instructions on post holiday planting.
Our swags and wreath making supplies are either ordered or delivered, and
we will start taking orders Thanksgiving week. We are open, of course, and
have marsh hay for bedding down, a few spring flowering bulbs, and 50% OFF
FABULOUS HALLO'EEN DECOR! We've also got great houseplants, autumnal beauty and
great gifts for you early holiday shoppers...
In other news, we have confirmation from several of our knowledgeable seminar
instructors for winter classes. At this point, we will be having seminars (i.e.
informational and free) on Wednesday evenings starting mid-January and
workshops (i.e. hands on plus small fee for materials, etc.) on weekends.
Just to get your wheels turning, here are the confirmed classes:
Composting, with Derek Schumacher, Living Green Indoors:
Creating a Healthier Indoor Environment, also with Derek, Solving the
Mysteries of Corn Gluten, with Brian Tjiaden, our corn gluten supplier,
Seed Starting, with Eli from Rush Creek Growers, Summer Bulbs with
Jessie the bulb aficionado from Gardenworld, and Creating a Butterfly
Garden with Kids, by Kristen Berg Thompson. Makes you want to start
gardening again tomorrow, huh?
Thanks for sticking with us, we appreciate it.
